Work with Cindy
As a solopreneur (and a “serial entrepreneur”), I’m only too aware of the challenges of trying to do it all yourself. I also know how expensive it is to hire help—both business coaching and website development.
My mission is to assist in both areas and help new business owners get their businesses going without a huge expense. With fifteen years of experience as an entrepreneur and a background in Fashion design and Software Engineering, I have a well-rounded mix of skills.
I started my career in the fashion world. Thought I was going to end up in NYC designing cocktail dresses – until after I moved to Houston for a year and quickly realized this girl who was raised in Boulder, CO, is not made for the big city.

I returned to Colorado and went back to school. After a year in marketing, I realized that not only am I not meant for the big city, but I’m also definitely not a salesperson. Not even close! So, I changed direction again, studied Computer Information Systems, and was a technical support specialist for a few years. I loved that work…I got to talk to people all day, every day, and help them figure stuff out. I was in my element!!
Then, a friend who was leaving her job as a computer programmer suggested I apply for her position when she moved on to another company. So, I did, and I got the job. Although I did like writing software, I knew something was missing. It took me a couple of years (and a performance review telling me I spent too much time thinking about how the end-user might use the software) to realize what I was missing…it was the human element! I wasn’t helping people anymore.
So, I returned to school to get my Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine. I’ve been an acupuncturist since 2007. I do love that job…but I found that I missed the technical work.
Now, with Haxel Web Design, I get to do it all! I get to talk to people, help solve problems, help them feel good, and use my design skills!
